CFSC History
CFSC, Inc. was established in 1981 as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization to devote efforts toward obtaining of facilities, vehicles, and equipment for the benefit of Encompass Community Services (formerly the Santa Cruz Community Counseling Center). CFSC has secured 61 units of independent and transitional housing across ten (10) properties throughout Santa Cruz County. CFSC has also secured seven (7) facilities that are utilized by some of Encompass’ programs for residential treatment, outpatient counseling, and administrative purposes.
The properties owned by CFSC include:

studio apartments,

one-bedroom cottages/apartments,

two-bedroom apartments, and
-
residential houses that range from three (3) bedrooms up to eight (8) bedrooms.
The purpose of CFSC's housing program is to provide safe and affordable housing for very-low-income adults including those with special needs such as a mental health diagnosis, HIV/AIDS, youth aging out of the foster care system, or other needs that make finding and keeping permanent housing especially challenging.
